Mudgee Wine Show announces new Sponsor

With the Mudgee Wine + Food Festival kicking off in September, The Mudgee Winemakers’ Association announced that Cudgegong Rural Supplies is the 2018 Major Sponsor of the Mudgee Wine Show (3-7 September 2018).

Cudgegong Rural Supplies, part of the CRT Group, is a locally owned family business and has committed to the next five years as Major Sponsor.

Cudgegong Rural Supplies was also instrumental in re-introducing Mudgee’s ‘Viticulturist of the Year Award’ for local Mudgee Vignerons.

Chair of the Mudgee Wine Show committee, Jacob Stein, said they are thrilled with the new partnership.

“This collaboration is well suited to our industry and shows the strength and unity of our region’s 100% family owned vineyards, teaming up with a local family owned company who deliver excellent viticulture and farming services to our region,” Stein said.

Cudgegong Rural Supplies store manager, Des Quilty, said they are proud to be involved in the local grape and wine industry.

“We look forward to holding a number of field days in order to further support the viticulture in the region.

“The Mudgee Wine Show is an important component of our industry’s benchmarking process and it’s rewarding to see our clients commended for their work. This sponsorship is a way for us to contribute to other areas of the wine industry, rather than simply focusing on viticulture.

“By showing our support right through to the winemaking, we hope that we can be a small part of the continued increase in the quality of Mudgee wines,” Quilty said.
