Entries for the 2013 Canberra International Riesling Challenge (CIRC) are now open! For the first time, winning wines at the Challenge will have the opportunity to be part of an exclusive Riesling wine list at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra. The 2013 judging panel which will be chaired by Ben Edwards, President of Sommeliers Australia, comprises three international and three Australian judges. US-based wine writer Dan Berger and French wine judge Valérie Dirringer, and Alexander Kohnen, Managing Director of the International Wine Institute in Germany will join Don Young, Senior White Winemaker at Orlando Wines, Anna Pooley, Winemaker at Pooley Wines Tasmania and Kerri Thompson, Director/ Winemaker at Wines by KT in South Australia.
Judging will take place 8 – 10 October with winners announced at the Awards Ceremony on Friday 11 October. The Seminar on Riesling Excellence will be held on Friday 11 October followed by the Riesling Master Class.
