Entries for the 2013 Canberra International Riesling Challenge are open and already received from Australia, USA, France, Germany, Canada.

Ben Edwards, President of Sommeliers Australia, will chair the 2013 judging panel comprising three international and three Australian judges. US-based wine writer Dan Berger, French wine judge Valérie Dirringer, and Alexander Kohnen, Managing Director of the International Wine Institute in Germany will join Don Young, Senior White Winemaker at Orlando Wines, Anna Pooley, Winemaker at Pooley Wines and Kerri Thompson, Director/ Winemaker at Wines by KT.

Judging will take place 8 – 10 October with winners announced at the Awards Ceremony on Friday 11 October. The Seminar on Riesling Excellence and Riesling Master Class will be held on 11 October.

For the first time, winning wines will have the opportunity to be included on an exclusive Hyatt Hotel Canberra Riesling wine list.
