Peter Teakle Wines has rebranded to Teakle Wines, the winery announced today, a move which it said will usher in “an exciting new chapter”.

The rebrand was the final project that Peter Teakle worked on with his son, Ben Teakle, before Peter’s unexpected passing in June 2024.

“We are proud to carry forward my father’s vision,” said Ben Teakle, managing director. “While our wines will continue to evolve with the climate, our commitment to quality will never waver.”

“This rebrand celebrates everything he stood for, and launching it with the new vintage is a fitting way to honour his memory.”

Teakle Wines was founded in Port Lincoln in 2016 by Peter Teakle, and the estate is home to the region’s first winery. The new refreshed logo draws inspiration from the architecture of the Teakle Wines cellar door on the estate.

Coinciding with the rebrand, the winery is also celebrating its first trophy with its 2024 Teakle Wines Sauvignon Blanc winning the Best Sauvignon Blanc at the Winewise Small Vignerons Awards. “This recognition underscores the quality of the Eyre Peninsula’s fruit,” says Elizabeth Heidenreich, winemaker. “It’s a proud moment for our team and highlights the potential of our region on the national stage.”

Looking ahead, sustainability will remain a key focus for Teakle Wines, which is committed to becoming a net zero carbon emitter by 2030, with initiatives like the installation of a 100-kilowatt solar system and expanding rainwater storage to 1.4 million litres.

“Our future lies in respecting the land and ensuring our practices support both the environment and our community,” added Teakle.
