South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) recognises its members for environmental achievements and is calling for nominations for its Environmental Excellence Awards.

These awards celebrate the achievements of SAWIA members who inspire others and provide leadership on good environmental-management practice.

The awards acknowledge the work of members in adopting substantive and quantifiable improvements in key areas of environmental management including energy and carbon, land and biodiversity and water and waste, with each year having a focus theme. For 2013 that will be water.

Entry – open to SAWIA members only – closes on 23 August. 

Winners will be announced at the invitation-only annual members’ lunch on 27 September.

There are two award categories – one each for small-medium and large businesses.
