Australia’s premier wine industry event, the 19th Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference (AWITC) will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 20 to 23 July 2025.
Registrations will open on Wednesday, 12 March 2025 at www.awitc.com.au, with early-bird pricing available until Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
The 19th AWITC will deliver four days of compelling content, including 11 plenary sessions with 39 high-calibre presenters from across the globe. Among the speakers, Mainland China’s first Master of Wine, Fongyee Walker MW, will explore the evolving Asian wine market, while lead marketing scientist Prof. Jenni Romaniuk will delve into consumer behaviour and brand growth strategies. Cloudy Bay Vineyards’ Technical and Sustainable Development Director, Jim White, will discuss the potential of disease-resistant grape varieties. The program also features SARDI Principal Soil Officer Amanda Schapel examining soil health and carbon sequestration in vineyards, and Enobev Consulting’s Duncan Shouler addressing the growing no- and low-alcohol wine segment.
A varied program of 37 workshops will run on Sunday and Tuesday, covering viticulture, winemaking, business, technology and marketing themes. The AWITC incorporates the Australian Grape & Wine Outlook Conference, which presents the latest wine business, policy, and marketing content, focusing on the future prosperity of the sector, as well as WineTech, the Australian wine industry’s most extensive and relevant trade exhibition.
