Accolade Wines’ chief executive officer, Robert Foye, has reportedly left his position.
Foye has spent over four years at the head of Accolade, which is owned by private equity group Bain Capital.
His decision to part ways with the company follows the July announcement of Bain Capital’s intent to purchase wine brands from international drinks company Pernod Ricard.
According to The Australian Financial Review (AFR), staff at Accolade Wines were informed of Foye’s exit on Thursday.
“With the Pernod Ricard Wines merger announced, Robert has decided that now is an appropriate time to focus on the next stage of his career and to relocate permanently back to Texas to spend more time with his family,” the Accolade board reportedly told staff.
In Foye’s absence, Accolade chairman Ben Clarke will assume the role of executive chairman as of 2 September, said AFR.
