The South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) has announced that entries are now open for the 2025 SAWIA Excellence Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability and workplace health and safety.
Previous winners have included off-grid wineries, wellbeing programs, sustainable packaging, biodiversity protection, confined space initiatives, basket press modifications to improve worker safety, and that’s just a taste.
“Through recognising excellence, SAWIA aims to improve performance across the wine sector by encouraging all grape and wine businesses to achieve the benchmarks set by past winners and finalists,” said Inca Lee, chief executive of SAWIA.
“Successful finalists have focused on initiatives that have tangible benefits for their company and can benefit the broader wine industry.”
There are six award categories up for grabs in 2025, and businesses can enter more than one. Entry is free.
