Worried your wine isn’t up to scratch in the marketplace? Is Napping® the answer?

Napping® is a rapid, cost effective sensory method which provides reliable information on the sensory characteristics of wines.

AWRI sensory methods can find if a process change has had an effect on flavour, obtain a scientifically valid description of a wine or find how consumers respond to the taste.

At Napping®, trained panellists sort a set of wines to give a map which shows similarities and differences among the wines and also provides descriptors for the products.

This rapid method is useful to judge how wines relate to comparable products or to assess the effect of a winemaking trial.

It is substantially cheaper to apply compared to conventional descriptive profiling and the AWRI has found close agreement between the methods.
