Overview

This spring tasting will be predominantly promoting the region’s Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris among the group of 21 wineries, who have new stories to tell, new wines to share and people to meet.  The combination of powerhouse pioneers, winemakers, owners, legends and the ‘next-generation’ with their own ambitious aspirations includesTen Minutes by Tractor, Merricks Estate, Port Philip Estate, Yabby Lake, Kooyong, Scorpo, Willow Creek Vineyards, Paradigm Hill, Main Ridge Estate, Paringa Estate, Hand Picked, Kerri Greens, Ocean 8, Polperro, Stonier Estate, Crittenden Estate, Miceli, Quealy Winemakers, Montalto, Moorooduc Estate, Hurley Vineyard and Foxey’s Hangout.

The Mornington Peninsula is a region of spectacular natural beauty located 80km south of Melbourne. It has a long history of fruit growing in a cool, maritime climate with prevailing cool southerly winds coming off Bass Strait which moderate temperatures to provide mild growing conditions.  This enables us to grow and ripen quality Pinot Noir, a grape that flourishes in a select few regions around the world.  In rich volcanic soils of the Peninsula coupled with the maritime climate deliver wines which embody purity and perfume intensity of fruit flavour and lively acidity that is characteristic of Mornington Peninsula wines.

The Vignerons of the Mornington Peninsula are a collective of boutique producers that have a passion for growing exceptional fruit, making often very limited quantities of world-class wines, and love nothing more than sharing them and their stories with wine lovers.
