Overview
As a wine producer, wine grape grower and transporter of grapes and bottled wine, you are required to comply with the Chain of Responsibility requirements. This includes ensuring that goods are not overloaded, that drivers are not encouraged or pressured to speed or drive while fatigued and that they are secured properly.
To ensure a consistent approach to Chain of Responsibility across wine growing regions of Australia, a new Registered Industry Code of Practice is being developed by the South Australian Wine Industry Association (SAWIA) in partnership with Australian Grape & Wine Inc (AGW).
These stakeholder meetings provide an opportunity for the New South Wales wine industry (including Canberra) to discuss key issues and practical solutions in relation to Chain of Responsibility compliance to ensure any Code of Practice reflects industry needs and requirements.
The meeting is aimed at wine producers, grape growers, vineyard contractors and transporters.
Morning tea will be provided, so please let us know of any dietary requirements.
There is no cost to attend the meeting.
