Barossa wines, Queensland style
Barossa in Boardshorts is not your traditional old school wine tasting event. We are here to bring the best of artisan Barossa Valley wine makers to the warm shores of Queensland in the middle of winter for some fun in the sun! We want to show off the Barossa we know and love – not the supermarket brands but the beating heart of the region – the passionate and talented guys and girls who are quietly making some of the best wines in the country, and many that we never get a chance to experience up here!
Taking place across 4 iconic locations over 4 awesome days, Barossa in Boardshorts offers you the chance to meet 20 amazing artisan winemakers, chat, taste and buy boutique Barossa wines,for a cellar door experience with a Queensland twist! Each event runs for 3 hours and celebrates our unique Queensland lifestyle, with funky music and a fun and irreverent approach to the wines themselves.
For those of you who have been to our annual wine tasting series, you’d know that our winemakers love coming to Queensland to escape the chilly southern winter to soak up some sunshine. With a few small hurdles over the past months, as you are all aware, we have pushed our dates back to late October/early November.
