With the introduction of Wine Australia’s new system of auditing wineries and exporters, there is increased pressure to ensure that products are meeting the requirements of the Food Standards Code. This includes compliance with maximum residue limits (MRL) of agrochemical residues for Australia.
AWRI Commercial Services will be working with Wine Australia to ensure the quality of Australian wines remains high and meet stringent regulatory requirements in line with the Food Standards Code. Wineries also need to meet limits on agrochemical residues for their export markets.
AWRI Commercial Services is able to provide a large simultaneous screen of more than 50 major registered agrochemicals at levels at or below the lowest maximum residue limit (MRL) of any export destination. This analysis can be done on either grapes or wines and can enable wineries to evaluate their risk of non-compliance with domestic or export regulations.
