March will see the German city of Düsseldorf become a “hotspot” for the international wine and spirits sector, as industry professionals from around the world gather for ProWein. For six days everything in the Rhine metropolis will revolve around the latest trends, “high-octane” events, and how to create and maintain a successful business.
Beginning with the evening programme “ProWein goes city” on Thursday, 13 March, across numerous restaurants, bars and wine stores, the event will then be followed by the Meininger’s Wine Conference on Saturday, 15 March. Every year this conference, which is organised with ProWein, provides insights into current trends and future developments in the wine sector. This year’s event will focus on “The Best Ways to Sell Wine”, aiming to shed light on the key issues determining the future of the wine industry. The concluding highlight will be the presentation of the Meininger Awards.
From 16 to 18 March the fairgrounds at Messe Düsseldorf will host ProWein, an international trade fair for wines and spirits. Nine out of 11 exhibition halls await trade visitors with a comprehensive range of products from all relevant winegrowing regions across the globe. Two additional halls will introduce decision-makers from retail and gastronomy to a line-up of spirits from all over the world under the label ProSpirits.
The exhibitions are supported by a three-day programme throughout the trade fair days, including the new Business Forum sessions. With various activities hosted by exhibitors at their stands, and numerous tastings at the Masterclass Forum, ProWein will also feature urban gastronomy with star-rated chefs, and a Champagne Lounge, with segments on packaging and design, the world of organic, and a special presentation of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux among many others.
Non-industry visitors welcomed
While the fair will draw industry experts from around the world, ProWein also aims to bridge the gap to consumers. From 13 to 18 March there will be wine and spirits tastings offered all over the city, with special menus at many restaurants, with over 100 events planned.
With its varied line-up ProWein 2025 is primed to be a must-attend event for all wine and spirits industry professionals. For more information and tickets go to www.prowein.com.
