Houghton Swan Valley estate for sale

The home of Houghton Wines since 1836, including the vineyard, winery and cellar door, is officially on the market.

In November 2018, Houghton’s parent company Accolade Wines announced that the brand’s production would move to its newer winery at Nannup, halfway between Margaret River and Frankland River.

The sale of the Houghton estate site, which measures 99 hectares in total and fronts onto the Swan River on its western boundary, includes 56ha of vines, the 6500-tonne winery, cellar door and function venue.

The potential for ongoing wine processing for Houghton up to 1900 tonnes per annum is touted as a feature of the sale.

Winegrape production from the estate vineyards is approximately 600 tonnes per annum.

Subdivision of the property into private residential estates while the wine and tourism assets are retained is also a possibility for a successful buyer, as is the development of additional tourism attractions.

The Houghton property is being offered for sale through Langley & Co by expressions of interest.
