Don’t get caught with egg on your label

Have you used fining agents such as casein, skim milk and egg (whites and albumin)? If so, for exported non-vintage wines and wines dated 2012 and beyond, you are now required to carry allergen labelling unless they can be demonstrated free of residues.

There’s no need to cry over spilt milk though… because as Australia’s longest serving dedicated wine industry laboratory, we are here to help! Having your wine tested for allergen residues using our validated ELISA method means you can have confidence in the detection of allergen residues to limits being enforced by the EU and Canada.

To confirm the absence of allergens residues, or to validate fining additions in your winemaking process, contact us and let our knowledge work for you.
