Health Canada requires wines with a detectable level of egg and milk protein (> 1ppm) which are labelled ‘non vintage’ or ‘2012 and beyond’ to comply with allergen labelling from 4 August 2012.
To ensure your wines contain no detectable residues of egg or casein, you can submit samples to AWRI Commercial Services for analysis using our qualitative ELISA kit method. Detection limits down to 1ppm for both allergens are achieved with this method, and are considered sufficient to prove the absence of these fining agents.

Cost per sample is $90 (excl. GST) or $160 (excl. GST) for the two analytes combined.
