Cooperages 1912 Australia has introduced the newest addition to the Tonnellerie Quintessence collection: Hydro-Dynamique, a premium water-immersed barrel.

Hydro-Dynamique is an elegant option for winemakers seeking French oak without the full tannin impact.

As the name implies, this barrel is immersed in water – the uniqueness being that the water is continually circulated and filtered to achieve accelerated tannin extraction.

Tasting results from around the world confirm Hydro-Dynamique to be a fruit-forward barrel with a silky, rounded mouthfeel and long finish.

It is also noted for soft spice and minerality.
