Australian wine marketer Rob Hope-Murray has launched his new export website www.prestigecellars.com.au with the aim of exporting fine Australian wines to the emerging Asian countries and China. Rob’s Melbourne-based office is developing relationships with agents and importers in most countries, to be part of his Asian region network, with plans to assist agents with marketing, events and tastings, in order to build the brands that he represents.
In an interview, Mr Hope-Murray said that it’s not just about selling the wine to importers but working with the agents as brands ambassador, to provide training to sales staff as required, and to build a good brand in a market. Recently Mr Hope-Murray has established offices in Manila and Bangkok.
There is a Tsunami of wine out there for export Mr Hope Murray was quoted as saying, however he is providing a consultancy service to assist middle sized to large boutique Australian wineries, to provide a professional representation service to enter the emerging markets of Asia, and plans to be on the ground much of the time.
