Leadership program to start this month

Participants from the Great Southern wine region will gather on the 28 November to start a three-day regional leadership program developed specifically for the wine industry.

The Wine Industry Leadership Program is funded by Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation and is managed and facilitated by Rural Training Initiatives.

Participants will gather in Mount Barker for the first two days of the program.

“Participants will be involved in a number of key activities including industry guest speakers, networking with regional industry wine businesses, and skills sessions which will assist participants in their workplace,” said Jill Briggs of Rural Training Initiatives.

“At the personal level I have often struggled to present information in the best manner, so components of the program for example dealing with media, participation in meetings and networking were particularly important,” said Tim Long, Glenrowan Vignerons president and program graduate.
