Wine Victoria has announced the Next Crop Victoria group for 2025, featuring participants from the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland wine regions. Delivered in partnership with Wine Australia, the program aims to introduce leadership, business and management skills to build capability and capacity within their regions.
“It is so wonderful to have the opportunity to run the Next Crop program again in Victoria,” said Stephanie Duboudin, CEO of Wine Victoria. “We ran the program across Central and Western Victoria in 2022 and are thrilled to be running it again, this time across the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland.”
Next Crop is also regarded as a stepping stone to the Future Leaders program, as demonstrated by Future Leaders Maddie Marsan (2025) and Steven Paul (2023), who graduated from the 2022 Victorian Next Crop program.
“Empowering the future leaders of our industry is essential to our long-term success. We had an amazing response from across the three regions with a selection process that was no small task. With such a strong and diverse group, we really cannot wait to deliver the program,” added Dan Sims, Chair of Wine Victoria.
The Next Crop 2025 program will commence on 19 June and conclude with a graduation ceremony at the Wine Victoria Annual General Meeting on 20 November. The program will be delivered in partnership with Jill Briggs of Affectus, a Victorian based provider of leadership development programs.
