The Royal Melbourne Wine Awards will be judged at Melbourne Showgrounds next week. For over 130 years the awards have recognised the best wines and winemakers across the country, awarding trophies including the Jimmy Watson and the Francois De Castella Trophies. The RMWA will host close to 40 judges, as well as winemakers, sommeliers, retailers and writers. More than 3200 wines will be tasted and assessed over five days to award gold, silver and bronze medals as well as up to 25 champion trophies. The RMWA will take place on Wednesday October 10^th.
