Organisers of the Sydney International Wine Competition are inviting the public to taste and judge about 16 trophy-winning wines at a special dinner next month.
This year is the 31st year of the Sydney International Wine Competition, a unique wine show where wine is judged alongside appropriate food.
Fourteen judges will speak about the wines served blind with five degustation courses at the dinner, which will be held on Friday 21 October at the Sydney Airport Mercure Hotel.
The wines have been selected by the competition’s director, Warren Mason, from his stock of current and previous trophy and TOP 1OO Award winners.
The 2000 entry cap was recently filled and the results of the competition will be officially announced at the presentation banquet on 25 February next year.
The cost to attend the dinner on 21 October is $185 per head (or $175 for tables of six to eight).
