The launch document of Strategy 2025
In June 1996, the Australian Wine Foundation released Strategy 2025, a statement of the aspirations and goals for the Australian wine industry over the next 30 years. Strategy 2025 addresses Australia’s competiveness, market opportunity, resource requirements and government facilitation required to fulfull the industry vision.
Five-year plan: 1997 to 2001
The five-year plan establishes the industry strategic framework for the next five years, in the context of industry vision outlined in Strategy 2025.
Wine Australia: Directions to 2025

Wine Restructuring Action Agenda (WRAA)
The Wine Restructuring Action Agenda (WRAA) was a joint initiative of the four national wine industry organisations, coordinated by WFA. It was launched on 10 November 2009 with the release of a statement to all winemakers and grape growers and a package of complementary initiatives. The primary focus was on helping businesses and regions to strategically and honestly assess their current and likely future position then make appropriate decisions.
Actions for Industry Profitability 2014-2016
The Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (WFA) launched its “Actions for Industry Profitability 2014-2016” to position the country’s wine sector for growth in both domestic and export markets. The report comprises 43 specific “Actions” in the key issue areas for industry including capturing the demand opportunity for Australian wine internationally, the wine and health debate, and working with national wine retailers on growing the category locally among consumers.
