Zonal wine body announces overhaul
The Limestone Coast Wine Industry Council (LSCWIC), one of Australia’s few zonal industry associations, opted to review its structure and functions at the Annual General Meeting held on 23 August 2005. The review process comes in response to the evolution of the regional associations and the industry at large, and its objective is to refresh the council to ensure it emerges a more streamlined organisation.
Coonawarra appoints Environment Project Manager
The Coonawarra Grapegrowers Association (CGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Diana Lloyd as the Coonawarra Environment Management Plan (EMP) project officer.
Pirie joins Tamar Ridge
As reported in the September/October issue of The Australian and New Zealand Wine Industry Journal, Tamar Ridge Wines, Tasmania, has appointed Dr Andrew Pirie as chief executive and chief winemaker, effective 1 October 2005.
