November Wool, Wine and Wheat festival to kick off in SA's Clare Valley
South Australia's Clare Valley is gearing to host a major new event in November to celebrate the region's wool, wine and wheat heritage. The Wool Wine and Wheat festival will be held on the first weekend of November in Clare Valley, and will include a regional fair, sheep dog trials, 2005 Riesling tasting, gala country ball and a family day.
Winemakers export more than half their production
New Zealand winemakers have exported more than 50 per cent of their production for the first time. Export sales in the past year totalled more than 50 million litres from a total of 96 million litres produced, according to the New Zealand Winegrowers 2005 annual report.
Australian Winegrape Conference to look beyond 2005
Following their biggest, and possibly hardest, vintage on record, Australia’s inland regions will host the third Australian Winegrape Conference in Mildura on 17 November at a crucial time for the Australian wine industry.
