Barossa vintage auction breaks record in the face of economic downturn
The 2009 Rare & Distinguished Barossa Wine Auction was eagerly anticipated, with organisers concerned that the current world economic situation would keep people from bidding. However this proved not to be the case with the Auction breaking all previous records.

Recent results of DNA testing of the Spanish grape Albarino have proved that most of Australia's plantings of the variety are, in fact, another variety known as Savagnin Blanc, also called Traminer.
