Winetitles’ hosted wine tour of China is on again

In 2006, Winetitles hosted 17 industry delegates from across the Australian wine industry – viticulturists, winemakers, retailers, suppliers on a personally guided tour of the Chinese wine industry.

In September 2007, again led by expert Asian wine commentator, Denis Gastin, with director and founder of China Wine Online, Jim Sun; Winetitles is offering industry delegates the opportunity of a career, and a ‘wine’ lifetime: to visit China on a specialised industry tour which will open doors and present insights not possible for individual travellers or wine tourists.

The 10-day fully guided tour begins in Beijing on 11 September and finishes in Shanghai on 21 September. Highlights include visits to Dragon Seal and Great Wall wineries; Austrade briefings in Beijing and Shanghai; visits to Vini Suntime winery and vineyards in Urumqi all as part of a busy, but carefully planned tour to give you the inside knowledge on the vast opportunities and the depth of the wine industry in China.

One of the 2006 trip participants, Colin Campbell of Campbells Wines, Rutherglen said: “The trip for us was an amazing mix of good company, a great educational snapshot of China, exhaustion, a real culture shock and some really good fun to top it all off. Memories will last for a long time and hopefully some positive actions will be the outcome as well.”
