Lake Breeze excels at Langhorne Creek Winemakers Showcase Tasting

Lake Breeze has received the highest awards in four out of the nine classes in the recent Langhorne Creek Winemakers Showcase. More than 100 entries were received for the tasting, with the Lake Breeze 2004 Cabernet Sauvigon named Champion Wine of the Showcase. Greg Follett, winemaker for Lake Breeze, said, "We've had an amazingly successful last 12 months at the wine shows, mainly on the back of the great 2004 vintage. It is a testament to the quality of fruit produced off our old vines and our continued commitment to produce artisan wines at an affordable price. This win is very special as it is at our home event in front of friends and family." Other Lake Breeze wines to receive awards were the 2005 Chardonnay, 2004 'Bernoota' Shiraz Cabernet, and 2004 Arthur's Reserve Cabernet Petit Verdot. Showcase judge and wine writer Nick Stock said, "Langhorne Creek is beating a path towards a place among Australia's most respected regions. The most courageous winemakers are already reaping early rewards and their success will hopefully inspire others to focus their efforts in the vineyard and the winery and get amongst the action at the top". The judging panel also included Mike Farmilo, Justin Coates and Philip White.
