Introductory Biodynamic Agriculture Workshops for Viticulture Biodynamic Agriculture Australia is holding 3 two day introductions to Biodynamic viticulture practices in May.
Two are in Western Australia; at Cullens Wines, Cowaramup, on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 May and at Redmond near Albany on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 May hosted by Richard and Irene Bunn. The third is in the South Australian Barossa Valley at Vine Vale on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 May, 2007.
The practical aspects of adopting biodynamics will be addressed, demonstrating that biodynamics is both easy to implement and cost effective. Participants will learn to make simple farm fertility mixtures, such as fermented manure concentrate and liquid seaweed fertilisers. The workshop will also be an introduction to climate risk management skills.
“At the conclusion of the workshop participants will have gained sufficient specific knowledge to adopt biodynamics in their vineyard” explains biodynamic educator, Hamish Mackay, “and will have had a hands on experience of the practical applications involved.”
