From entrepreneurs and small business owners, to community leaders and corporate figureheads, inspirational women are everywhere, and Telstra invites all Australians to nominate business women who inspire them.
Nominations are now open for the 2007 Telstra Business Women’s Awards, which have been recognising and rewarding leading business women since 1995, and provides women around the country the opportunity to network and support each other. Telstra Group Managing Director and Telstra Business Women’s Awards Ambassador, Holly Kramer, said the awards acknowledge business women for their hard work and dedication to the business community.
“Telstra is committed to supporting Australian business women, and is focused on developing greater opportunities for women in business,” Kramer said. “These awards are just one way for Telstra to show its support; giving them the recognition they deserve and providing them with networking opportunities to further their success.”
Previous winners of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards include Fernwood Women’s Health Clubs Founder, Diana Williams; Managing Director of Boost Juice Bars, Janine Allis; and Margot Spalding, co-owner of Jimmy Possum Furniture and 2006 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year.
“Women in business need to support and encourage one another to achieve their goals. Winning this award means I can give some wisdom back to the community and to other women,” Margot Spalding said.
The Telstra Business Women’s Awards boasts a national prize pool of over $200,000, with entrants judged on professional achievements, roles and responsibilities, future plans, personal profile, leadership style, and innovation and creativity.
