WineTech 2007 – largest ever wine industry exhibition in Australia

WineTech 2007 – The Australian Wine Industry Trade Exhibition is shaping up to be the largest wine technology exhibition ever held in Australia. “The exhibition will fill over 4000 sq m of exhibition space, up 21% from the last show in 2004,” said John Gorton, Director – Industrial, at Reed Exhibitions, organiser of WineTech 2007. WineTech 2007 will be held in Adelaide from July 29 to August 1, 2007. More than 50 companies, from countries as diverse as France, Italy, USA, New Zealand and Indonesia, will be exhibiting for the first time. Reed Exhibitions expects that a total of around 190 companies will be represented. “We’re extremely pleased with the number and quality of the exhibitors; it’s really going to be a premier showcase for the wine industry ,” said Gorton. WineTech 2007 has attracted a number of significant exhibitors, including Australian Winemakers, Cork Supply, Costa Enterprises, F Miller & Co, Gregoire, JB Macmahon, JMA Engineering, Oeneo, Pellenc, Procork, SEW Eurodrive, Southern Cross Cooperage, World Cooperage, Winequip and Zork. In order to showcase a wider range of products and services many Australian exhibitors have taken a larger space at WineTech 2007 than they have in past years. “Exhibitors are really planning on making a splash at WineTech 2007, which is why they’re taking larger spaces,” said Gorton. The prestigious Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference is running in conjunction with WineTech 2007. While the AWITC covers a range of issues from the vineyard to the consumer, there is a focus this year on the environment and climate change. For the first time, the Fourth Australian Wine Industry Environment Conference will be held in conjunction with the AWITC.
