New agent for Procork

Victorian-based Winemaking Supplies & Services has recently added the brand of Procork as another of the quality companies the supplier has come to distribute. Procork joins such established and premier brands as Heinrich Cooperage, Gale Pacific and Italian yeast manufacturer, Intec in the Winemaking Supplies & Services range.

Caroline Vale, chief executive officer of WMSS said the company had been thrilled to secure the new deal with Vinpac to sell the Procork brand. “The innovative use of membrane technology, means that Australian winemakers have a real alternative to screw-capped wines using natural cork. The freshness levels achieved with Procork are really outstanding,” she said.

Winemaking Supplies & Services has been operating since November 2006 when the Vale family purchased Winery Supplies. Caroline Vale with her father John has since set about building the former Winery Supplies business while adding new energy, products and services for winemakers and grapegrowers.

After a slow start to the year with the impact of frost and drought, Caroline Vale said business was really picking up as the warm weather brought vintage in earlier across some parts of the country.

“We have been flat out talking with winemakers and growers and doing our best to meet their vintage needs. Our new range of Italian varietal yeasts from Intec has caused great interest amongst winemakers. It’s great to be busy and we’re thrilled with what we’ve achieved at Winemaking Supplies & Services in our first four months since re-opening the business,” Vale said.
