Ballandean Estate announces new Brand Development Manager

The Puglisi Family of Queensland's Ballandean Estate are proud to announce the appointment of brisbane based Mr Stuart Ostle as their new Brand Development Manager.

Stuart’s career in wine began in 1996 when he worked part time in a small Mclaren Vale winery Filling bottles and serving customers at cellar door. It was this that sparked his passion and prompted him to seek some formal qualifications, to further his career. While managing the Cellar door at St Hallett in the Barossa Valley, Stuart studied Wine Marketing at The University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy campus, where he finished in 2000.

Since then his passion for wine and Thirst for knowledge has taken him to the UK and France, where he worked for a variety of companies large and small including Constellation Wines and The famed UK retail chain Oddbins. During this time he also gained experience from working as a cellar hand in Burgundy and participating as associate judge in the London international wine and spirit competition.

After completing the Wine and spirit Education trust (WSET) courses to diploma level Stuart returned with his family to Australia in June 2005.

Moving to Queensland very shortly after, he worked in wholesale for Options wines — Queensland division where he concentrated on growing the on-premise business for a number of Boutique brands from around Australia.

It is Stuarts’ love for working around wines and wineries that brings him to Ballandean Estate. Stuart is looking forward to exposing people to a top notch Queensland producer — Ballandean Estate wines!
