Bucher pre-vintage press training seminar 2007

For the fourth consecutive vintage Bucher Australia is offering a pressing seminar in the major wine producing regions of Australia.
Operators and winemakers who have attended in the past have found the seminar to be of excellent benefit in terms of achieving better operational efficiencies and quality outcomes.
We tackle issues ranging from when to stop draining and start pressing, ideal pressure increments and rotations to dealing with slippery fruit as well as an overview of the constitution of the grape and yield benchmarking which past attendees have found very beneficial.
Proposed training sessions for press seminar 2007 are as follows:

The content of the training program will cover: — Constitution of the Grape o Order of Rupture o Physical Characteristics o Juice Characteristics — Introduction to pressing (general information) — Principles of processing — De-juicing methods — Programming o Ortal or Automatic o Dynamic o Sequential — Emptying facilities — General Maintenance (daily checks) — Questionnaire
A participation fee of $135 per person is requested to part cover expenses involved.
