Delegates at the MasterCard World Wine & Travel Summit in November will be privy to the latest market intelligence in wine and travel to be presented by an outstanding line-up of Australian and international speakers.
The much awaited wine and travel gathering is to be staged at Margaret River’s renowned Leeuwin Estate winery 13 – 17 November. An array of experts will travel to Western Australia to speak at the Summit.
Among them will be keynote speaker Richard Cartiere who is one of the most respected journalists and marketing experts covering the lucrative US wine industry today.
Mr Cartiere is currently publisher and editor of Rich Cartiere's Wine Market Report, and is based in California's famous Napa Valley wine country.
“We are thrilled to have speakers of Richard’s calibre joining us in Margaret River at the Summit,” said event Marketing Manager Peter Rigby.
“His experience in the US market is second to none, and should provide some very interesting and applicable insights for our Australian and international delegates.
“Many of the issues and challenges faced in the US today are the same as those we are facing here in Australia, so there should be really pertinent material in his presentation.
“Richard will be speaking on the topic: Travel, Food and Wine: The Evolution of a Modern Trinity so there is certain to be something in it for everyone,” he said.
Mr Cartiere co-founded the largest wine trade business magazine in the US and since 1992 has edited a newsletter in various formats that is known as the leading US source of real-time news, data and information about the wine business.
Prominent US winemaker Robert Mondavi has said of him: "Richard Cartiere gets the key news stories in the wine business. And what he tells us in his newsletter is often ahead of everybody and very, very useful."
Women and Wine – A Powerful Market Dynamic
Another keynote speaker is Steven Howard who will be covering the topic Wine, Women & Travel.
Mr Howard is a marketing consultant and positioning specialist whose long marketing and sales career in the Asia/Pacific has covered a wide variety of fields. He is also a member of the National Speakers Association of Australia.
“Steven will be touching on a fascinating topic regarding the importance of marketing wine and travel to women,” said Mr Rigby.
“This effects everything from logo’s to advertising and is even influencing the modern style of wine making.
“At a time when wineries are looking to find powerful new ways to market and sell wine, Steve’s presentation will offer some great ideas.
“The Summit will deliver information that people need to boost and enhance their wine and travel businesses.
“The latest market intelligence gained through a really top notch gathering of experts will be very helpful indeed,” he said.
