An oenology seminar "Maximising the value" to be held in October will cover the ways members of the wine industry can maximise their returns through quality and process efficiency.
These are the pressing issues for wine industry professionals in the increasingly competitive environment for both large and small producers in domestic and export markets.
The Seminar will discuss vital issues including: — Identifying those issues in the value chain upon which we should concentrate from vineyard to marketing. — Maximising returns through the adoption of smarter technology. — The role of the consumer; — A retailer’s perspective of constraints in the value chain. — Minimising value leakage; — The Australian Winemaker in the Global Market.
Several case studies will also be presented to illustrate ways in which you can both survive and indeed thrive in a highly competitive market place.
The ASVO Oenology seminar will be held at the Sebel Playford Hotel, North Terrace, Adelaide, SA on Thursday, 12 October 2006 and video conferenced to Margaret River Education Campus, WA and the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba QLD
