Willunga will show off much more than its beautiful blooms during the 37th annual Almond Blossom Festival, from 27 July to 5 August.
The small town, located on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula, will celebrate the coming of spring with a range of sumptuous food, wine and entertainment.
Event Coordinator Liz Ingoldby said the festival will showcase the best the region has to offer.
“This year we have found the true spirit of the festival again — creating a community arts-based event that harks back to the era of old fashioned country shows,” she said.
“Our extensive program includes entertainment, music, arts and crafts, photographic exhibitions, dances, youth activities, as well as our famous gourmet food and wines.”
Channel 9 Getaway presenter, Erik Thomson will kick off the celebrations by officially opening the festival at the Old Show Hall on Thursday 27 July.
