Christine Anu, one of Australia’s most versatile entertainers, and former Hunters and Collectors frontman Mark Seymour will be the star music attractions at the sixth annual Sirromet Wine and Food Festival on 29–30 July.
Anu will perform acoustic sets both days and Seymour, now a successful solo artist, will be on stage on 30 July during the festival at Sirromet’s headquarters and vineyards at Mount Cotton between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
“Outdoor festivals like this are always fun,” said Anu. “The enjoyment for me is the fulfilment of ‘nailing the gig’ and seeing families and kids having a great time.”
Sirromet’s Managing Director Adam Chapman said he expected the performances by Anu and Seymour at this year’s festival would draw a crowd in excess of the 8,000 who attended in 2005.
“Every year our festival just keeps getting bigger and better,” said Chapman.
