Following a number of years with an overcrowded exhibition calendar, the Australian wine industry has united in its support behind a single wine exhibition, WineTech 2007 –the Australian Wine Industry Trade Exhibition, to be held between 29 July and 1 August, 2007 in Adelaide.
Managed and promoted by leading international exhibition organiser Reed Exhibitions, WineTech 2007 promises to be Australia's largest and most successful wine industry exhibition yet, with some 220 exhibitors expected to host an audience of well over 3000 wine industry professionals. This will include both trade visitors and delegates to the prestigious Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference.
The highly successful 2004 edition of the Australian Wine Industry Trade Exhibition, held in Melbourne, attracted almost unanimous acclaim, with 99% of exhibitors stating that they achieved their objective of increasing awareness of their companies and products.
Over 2000 trade visitors attended the exhibition, in addition to the conference delegates.
Held every three years, WineTech is organised by Reed Exhibitions on behalf of the Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference Inc (AWITC). Wine Industry Suppliers Australia Inc (WISA) is a co-presenter of the event.
WISA’s members will be exhibiting a wide range of the very latest equipment, technology and services available to the wine industry.
In addition, supplier representatives, nominated by WISA, will participate in the exhibition’s management committee, ensuring exhibitors’ needs are understood and addressed by the organisers. According to John Gorton, director, industrial exhibitions, with Reed Exhibitions, the withdrawal of a competitive show, combined with the fact that all key organisations in the wine industry are supporting WineTech, means it will be the definitive event for the Australian wine sector in 2007.
“There has already been considerable demand for space at WineTech 2007 and it is certain to exceed capacity at the Adelaide Convention Centre,” he said.
“We are therefore urging Australian and international suppliers to book their stands early to avoid disappointment.”
