Visitors to the Barossa this July will find it hard to spot a Rosé, sniff a Pinot or slurp a Merlot. The world powerhouse grape variety Shiraz will be on everyone’s lips as winemakers, grapegrowers, marketers and passionate consumers descend upon the Barossa Valley for the Second International Shiraz Alliance.
The Shiraz Alliance is a three-day celebration (July 28 – 30) of one of the world’s most famous grape varieties. More than 300 people will attend professional masterclasses with top winemakers, group workshops at Barossa wineries and have access to an extraordinary range of Shiraz at one of the world’s largest international varietal tasting’s with more than 150 wines.
The event will truly be an international gathering, with winemakers, viticulturists and marketers attending and showing their wines from California, The Rhone Valley in France, Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand, Colchagua Valley in Chile and Stellenbosch in South Africa.
