New Directory getting glowing reviews

The inaugural Australian & New Zealand Olive Industry Directory has now been published and is available for purchase for all participants in the olive industry.

Early feedback has been glowing in praise for the concept of the Directory and the presentation of the A4 glossy magazine.

Olivegrowers from Australia and New Zealand supplied information to the Directory, produced by Ryan Publications – publisher of the Australian & New Zealand Olivegrower & Processor magazine, providing an unprecedented “snapshot” of the olive industries in two countries.

The Directory has revealed interesting statistics such as:

• 49% of Australian groves are sized at less than 6ha. • 62% of New Zealand groves are sized at less than 6ha. • Victoria is the State with the highest percentage of growers indicating they produce organic olives. • Koroneiki, Manzanillo and Picual are the top three olive varieties grown in New Zealand.

With comment and columns from Federal ministers for both Australia and New Zealand; chief executive of Olives New Zealand, Alastair Bridge; plus editorial and statistics from the recent Australian Olives Expo held in Canberra, the 2006 Australian & New Zealand Olive Industry Directory is essential reading for all involved with olives.

Copies of the Directory can be purchased for AUS$25.30 (includes postage and GST in Australia and includes postage to New Zealand).

As a special offer, all people who purchase their copy of the Directory by 31 March are entered into the drawn to win a copy of the beautiful framed print “L’Olive” (the olive).

To order your copy, email or call (08) 8375 9888.
