Irrigators who applied successfully for the Federal Government’s Small Block Irrigators Exit Grant have until today to show all requirements for payment have been met.
The exit grant package was available to Murray Darling Basin irrigators who were leaving irrigation farming and selling all their tradeable permanent water entitlements to the Commonwealth.
It included payments of up to $150,000 as well as $10,000 for advice and training and up to $20,000 to pay a contractor to remove permanent plantings.
