Wine for Haiti

The earthquake tragedy in Haiti has spurred the wineries of the BoozeMonkey wine community to take action to assist.

BoozeMonkey is hosting a fine wine auction with the proceeds going to the disaster relief effort in Haiti.

Many wineries across Australia and New Zealand have already registered their support and the BoozeMonkey team are asking for more wineries to get involved, and to pledge their commitment to the cause on the website (http://www.boozemonkey.com/blog.php?user=Matt&blogentry_id=783)

Donations of fine wine for the auction are being received now, with the auction date to be set shortly.

The Wine For Haiti fundraising campaign is being run in conjunction with a US wine network called Palate Press (http://palatepress.com/2010/01/haiti), which is run by David Honig and a host of respected wine writers.

To participate, the BoozeMonkey team are asking wineries and winelovers to donate wine, to bid for wine in the auction, and to help spread the word via social media and networks of friends and associates.
