Orange prepares to wine and dine

Orange Wine Week is fast approaching with the 2009 event to take place from the 16th – 25th October.

The program features over ninety different events from wine blending challenges, sparkling brunches, to food and wine matched dinners and lunches, tastings, fashion parades, music performances and art exhibitions.

Wine Week Committee president Charlotte Gundry says people should collect a copy of the program and head to Orange.

“The program is jam packed with fun as well as informative events and I encourage people to book early so they don’t miss out on the events they want to go to,” she said.

Taste Orange Marketing Manager Sarah Robinson says spring is a beautiful time to come to Orange.

“The grape vines are in bud burst and the flowers and blossoms in full bloom,” she said.

“Come and eat and drink, play some golf and explore the mountain and countryside.”

As well as hosted events, the week will also feature three public events:

Friday 16th October – Impresstik Orange Wine Show Public Tasting

Friday 23rd October – Spiegelau Night Market

Sunday 25th October – Taste Orange in the Park with Gourmet Traveller Wine
