Barossa’s new-look Visitor Guide

One of the State’s first 12 annual regional visitor guides to hit the stands for 2006, this edition has a fresh look sure to inspire travellers to visit the Barossa. The new front cover is complemented by new images throughout the publication, giving potential visitors a taste of the region’s well-earned reputation as a “must see” destination. New editorial is both factual and entertaining, and provides comprehensive information about cellar door outlets, attractions, tours and accommodation across the region. The new guide is also the largest to date for the region. The increase to 76 pages accommodates a number of new sections, with additional pages dedicated to activities for families with children, golf and Barossa touring routes. An expanded town directory highlights the diversity of communities in the region, and town maps now include Williamstown and Gawler. Racheal Klitscher, regional marketing manager for Barossa Wine & Tourism, said the guide is an integral part of the region’s domestic marketing campaign, providing visitor information on services and experiences on offer in the Barossa. “Traditionally promoting the region’s core attractions of wine, food, events, heritage and culture, this year’s new-look guide also emphasises the range of nature-based and family activities available. This expands the opportunities for visitors to the region, while reaffirming the Barossa’s position as South Australia’s leading wine and food tourism destination,” Klitscher said.
