Top 100 Australian Wines – Uncorked!!

MW Wines a leading independent Australian wine auction house is delighted to announce a new classification system of Australia’s Top 100 wines.

Following two years of intense research and reviewing a number of different classification models, MW Wines have built a modern, innovative categorisation system, that is non subjective and utilises a pricing model of consumer demand to develop a method of ranking Australian wines.

Chief executive, Robert Worthington said “we have created this system to be a truly independent reference tool for consumers and all stakeholders involved in the wine industry. We anticipate that all wine drinkers will benefit from an annually revised list which provides a clear and up-to-date picture of Australia’s greatest wines, categorised into their respective major grape varieties."

MW Wines has operated in Melbourne for nearly a decade, combining its expertise in running online auctions with climate controlled wine storage and its prestigious Museum Wine Shop, which specialises in supplying older vintages of super premium wines on both a trade and retail level.

As an independent business with a vast database of historical pricing information, along with being acknowledged as experts in the field of premium wines, MW Wines is ideally suited to produce a new classification system for Australian wine.

Full details of the results can be found on MW Wines website www.mwwines.com.au
