Sydney International Wine Competition 2010 progress report

Entries for the Sydney International Wine Competition 2010 are capped at 2000 to ensure unstressed, highest judging standards by the competition’s panel of international judges. Entries close when 2000 entries, first come, have been received.

Entries for the 2010 competition opened 1 June 2009 and already, as of 27 July 2009, more than 1100 entries have been processed. It seems certain the 2000 entry cap will be reached well before the final cut off of 25 September 2009.

Judging of the 2010 Competition takes place 19–23 October 2009 and the individual entrants results are advised mid-November 2009. Total results and comprehensive feedback for winemakers, retailers and, most importantly, consumers, will be announced on the competition’s website on 20 February 2010.

Meanwhile, visit www.top100wines.com to view the competition’s 2009 judges’ individual comments on each of the 2009 award winners. However, for this competition's "Wines that Go Well with Food" award winners, such detailed feedback takes a little time to assemble.
