2009 Riverina Wine Show

Entries are now invited for the 2009 Riverina Wine Show to be judged in Griffith on 1–3 September 2009.

This year, the structure of the Riverina Wine Show has been changed with the judging of premium and commercial wines to be undertaken separately.

The premium classes will continue as before, while commercial classes have been developed to recognise the major retail categories of the Australian wine market.

The Australian Commercial Wine Show is a truly commercial show with minimum entry requirements of 5,000 cases (with a minimum of 1,000 cases in bottle, the rest may be in tank). This will allow promotion of trophies and medals on subsequent bottlings.

Trophies for the ACWS will be awarded for the best dry white, dry red and sparkling). The Woolworth’s Liquor Group has sponsored the trophy for the Best Commercial Red wine, and there is a potential 1,000 case sales opportunity for the red wine trophy winner with the Woolworth’s Liquor Group.

Further information can be obtained from www.riverina-winemakers.org.au or by contacting Stuart McGrath-Kerr on 02 6964 3504.
