A brand new world of solutions: Hotel Hospitality + Design launches in 2010

The first of its kind in Australia, Hotel Hospitality + Design — the largest, most comprehensive event targeting the hotel and hospitality industries — will launch at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 24–26 May 2010.

The show will be divided into nine areas, each designed with its own distinct ‘look and feel’ reflective of the various industry sectors – from beverages, entertainment, outdoor, furnishings, high-end luxury, to back office, technology and facilities management.

The brainchild of Danielle Fischer, Group Exhibition Director, Diversified Exhibitions, this new event is already gaining strong industry interest and backing. In a major coup, Philips has signed as Official LCD and Lighting sponsor and major associations AHA, HMAA and AAA Tourism are supporting the exhibition.

“This brand new exhibition was conceived to fill a significant gap in the current hotel and hospitality marketplace, and also to offer participants a really creative, experiential way to do business,” Fischer said.

“Visitors coming to this event will explore new products in an innovative expo environment where there will be no shell scheme as we know it, and a vast array of product integrated in situ allowing for a dynamic on-floor experience,”she said.

“We want to offer our buyers and sellers the opportunity to open up their minds to new possibilities, find their perfect match, and build relationships which will sustain their businesses in the years to come,” she said.

Two vast Forums — Outdoor Forum and Design Forum — will dominate the show floor and give visitors an interactive space to explore exhibitors’ products. A cutting edge concept room – 20X – will be fitted with next generation technologies to give a preview of the hotel room of the future.

In addition to the expo attractions, there will be a full conference program with a focus on sustainability and refurbishment. Plus, HOT2010 (Hotel Operations Technology conference) will run alongside, offering delegates plenty of opportunities to connect with exhibitors at Hotel Hospitality + Design.

"It is so refreshing to finally hear of a show out there that caters to all elements of the hotel & hospitality market,” said Alan Featherby, Chief Executive, Rendezvous Hotels and Resorts International.

“I am looking forward to seeing all the latest products and services available to our industry in one place," he said.

This is a 'much needed' event and I believe it will be highly received by the industry as a whole," he said.

Hotel Hospitality + Design will take place at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 24–26 May.
